So, my partner (Nick) came down stairs last week and asked me to watch a video. He wouldn’t give me details on what it was about…so I watched it. What I didn’t know was that it would affect me in a way that I still haven’t quite figured out yet. I started researching the video to make sure the story was real.

What I found was where Tom Bridegroom was buried, about 15 minutes from relatives I have in Knox, IN. What I also found out was that the family I have out there knew of the Bridegroom family. So I set out to find the gravesite. What I saw was disturbing. I don’t know if this was the family’s intentions but the parents put their names on either side of Tom’s.

Seemingly to prevent any hope of Shane being placed any where near him.

I couldn’t even begin to understand the pain that Shane is going through. There are 30 states that have some sort of Constitutional ban on gay marriage or unions. Rights of people, my rights, are written into state constitutions. The fact that this is possible is crazy to me.

I am not posting this to take credit for anything, I am posting this to advance the cause. The rights of millions of Americans are being striped away and it has to stop.

Negotiation – a discussion intended to produce an agreement.

It’s not a negotiation if you refuse to put everything on the table to discuss. To say that you are not willing to discuss tax increases is absurd. All things need to be on the table to even begin to solve the debt crisis. Defense, Medicare, SS, tax increases, waste, stupidity, EVERYTHING.

You now have 10 days.

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama says he and Congress “need to” agree on a budget deal in 10 days in order to meet an Aug. 2 deadline to increase the nation’s debt ceiling and avoid a potentially calamitous government default.

Obama spoke as he and the eight top House and Senate leaders assembled at the White House for a rare Sunday session to negotiate the terms of a deficit reduction package.

The meeting came a day after House Speaker John Boehner abandoned efforts to bargain for a $4 trillion, 10-year debt trimming agreement. Boehner said a smaller deal that would reduce the deficit by about $2.4 trillion over the next decade was more realistic.

During the 90-minute session, Obama pressed for the $4 trillion deal that congressional Republicans have rejected, arguing that a more modest approach would be equally hard to negotiate.

Republicans insist that any deal include no tax hikes. Democrats oppose Obama’s plans to cut government aid to seniors and poor Americans.

I find it hard to believe that Newt Gingrich will one day be president. I hope he wins the nomination, that would be great news!

This man said that the Catholic church has the right to discriminate against the LGBT community in their adoption services. Those that choose to side with those that discriminate based on ignorance is also choosing the wrong side of history.

As Keith Olbermann announces that tonight was his last show. We remember this special comment. “If this country didn’t redefine marriage, black people couldn’t marry white people…”
